Privacy and external services

What information is processed when you search a Texas property and purchase a groundwater assessment.

Back to the Texas assessment

Property and address information

An address is sent to Esri's geocoding service only after it is submitted. Map imagery is requested from Esri or OpenStreetMap. If browser location is selected, the browser asks for permission before coordinates are supplied to the application.

Payments and reports

Card details are entered in Stripe's secure checkout and do not pass through this application. The server retains order status, the selected location and aquifer context, and generated report files so a paid report can finish after a restart and remain available from its private result link.

Analytics

Public informational pages use Google Analytics to measure traffic and site performance. Google may receive the page URL, browser and device information, approximate location derived from an IP address, interaction data, and identifiers such as cookies, subject to browser settings and Google's policies. Analytics is not loaded on private customer report pages or dynamic well-log pages.

Public records and server logs

Property coordinates are used to query public groundwater sources and may be sent to USGS elevation services during report generation. Hosting and external-service providers may retain ordinary logs such as IP address, time, requested URL, and browser information under their own policies.

Do not enter sensitive information beyond what is needed to locate the well property.
